Frequently Asked Questions
What happens during an inspection?
During your inspection, our licensed inspector performs a detailed evaluation of the property’s major systems — including the roof, exterior, structure, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and interior components. You’ll receive a comprehensive report with photos and notes highlighting any issues, maintenance tips, and areas to monitor.
Do I need to attend the inspection?
You’re not required to attend, but we always recommend it! Being present gives you the opportunity to ask questions in real time, learn more about the home’s condition, and get peace of mind from understanding how everything works.
What’s included in a standard home inspection?
Our standard home inspection includes a full evaluation of the home’s visible and accessible systems and components:
• Roof and exterior
• Foundation and structure
• Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
• Attic, insulation, and ventilation
• Interior features such as doors, windows, and built-in appliances
You’ll receive a digital report within 24–48 hours that summarizes findings with photos and easy-to-understand explanations.
What’s not included in a home inspection?
We don’t perform destructive testing or move furniture, flooring, or walls. Specialized systems like septic, well, pool, and mold testing are considered add-on services and can be scheduled at the same time as your inspection for convenience.
How long does an inspection take?
Most inspections take 2–3 hours, depending on the home’s size, age, and condition. Larger or older properties may take a bit longer.
When will I receive my inspection report?
We deliver your detailed, easy-to-read inspection report within 24–48 hours of your inspection. You’ll receive it via email and can access it from any device.
What if the inspection finds problems?
Almost every home — even new builds — has some issues. Our goal is to help you understand what’s minor, what’s worth negotiating, and what may require immediate attention. You’ll leave with a clear sense of priorities, not panic.
Can I order additional testing or services?
Yes! We offer a variety of add-on inspections including radon, water quality, well flow, septic, sewer scope, and mold testing. These can be bundled with your main inspection for convenience and savings.
How do I schedule my inspection?
You can book online anytime or call us directly at (860) 384-2741. We’ll confirm your appointment, review your needs, and send an email with everything you need to prepare.
